Your MINI electric vehicle can independently authenticate itself at public charging stations, depending on the model and country of delivery, using your charging contract stored in the vehicle. This feature is called Plug & Charge.
Availability of Plug & Charge:
- MINI Countryman (U25)
- MINI Cooper (J01) → need at least 07/24 software, if needed customer must do a remote software update
- MINI Aceman (J05) → need at least 07/24 software, if needed customer must do a remote software update

Subsequent activation (retrofit):
Subsequent activation of Plug & Charge is possible for the following models:
- MINI Cooper (J01)
- MINI Aceman (J05)
If your vehicle’s production date is before July 2024, please make sure you carry out a remote software update via your app_name app so that your vehicle is Plug & Charge capable.
